The Diplomaticos #1 is ideal for beginners and for amateurs of standard Lonsdale cigars. Very comparable to the Montecristo series. A light smoke but full of flavours that you would expect from a tasty havana. Very easy draw and burn. This Cuban cigar was discontinued in 2006.

The pre revolution Diplomaticos cigar brand was introduced in 1966. The Diplomatico cigars were supposedly a second branch of the Montecristo cigars and they primarily aimed for the French cigar market. Diplomaticos is a Habanos local brand, with a minor market share.
Diplomaticos is one of the few Habanos cigar brands which was since the beginning devoted to only handmade cigars. The Diplomatico cigar sizes and names are similar to the Montecristo's, but the Diplimaticos cigars are made at the Jose Marti cigar factory.
These cigars are mainly considered to be medium to full bodied and the tabacco used for the Diplomaticos cigars comes from the premium Vuelta Abajo region in Cuba.
