When the Dunhill cigar brand first started as a new Cuban cigar brand, it wanted to compete with Davidoff. This lead to a major disagreements between the British Company and Cubatabaco who previously signed a manufacturing contract in 1982.

As a result of this disagreement, this contract was terminated in 1991 and the Dunhill cigar brand was discontinued.

Dunhill was discontinued in 1991. The most popular Cuban cigars produced by Dunhill could be Cabinetta, with medium strength and mixed balanced flavours such as fruits, honey and nuts, or the Dunhill Estupendos, similar to Cabinetta but richer in taste.

In addition to the listed Dunhill cigars, seven other cigars were proposed but never produced.
