Cuban Tobacco Plants Harvest

The Cuban Tobacco leaves are harvested with intervals and starting from the bottom of the tobacco plants. From the bottom up. This method allows the plant to develop its remaining leaves while the first ones are already harvested and, which creates a bigger production.

Shade-grown tobacco plants are taller and have more leaves, and therefore require more work. The "Mañanita" leaves are the ones that are picked first and they are too small for Habanos premium cigars. They make excellent tobacco for the Cuban mini cigars.
