Juan Lopez was introduced in 1876, named afther the owner Juan Lopez Diaz and still stands as one of the Habanos local cigar brands with a minor market share. Juan Lopez cigars are offered only in handmade styles.
The range of cigar sizes for the Juan Lopez brand is limited, but the workmanship is first-rate and the Cuban cigar flavour is considered to be medium to full strength, with light and almost aromatic overtones.
All the tobacco leaves come from the prium Vuelta Abajo Region in Cuba and there also exists a non Cuban cigar brand with the same name.
