Ignacio Larrañaga was the founder of the Por Larrañaga trademark. His factory was first situated at 94 O'Reilly Street in Havana Cuba, later at number 713 on the corner of Carlos III and Arbol Seco, and it is nowadays in the La Corona cigar factory, also in Havana.
Por Larranaga cigars are light to medium bodied cigars with tobacco leaves from the premium Vuelta Abajo region and they are a Habanos local brand with only a minor market share. Some of the Por Larranaga cigars are enveloped in a fine cedar leaf.
The Por Larranaga large fillings cigars are made either mechanically or hand rolled with a wrapper and a capote leaf. The mechanical production cigars use cellophane packaging.
Por Larranaga is commercialized basically in Canada, Mexico, The Caribbean, France, Switzerland, Africa and the Middle East.
