With a perfect draw and combustion, many smokers agree that this Cuban cigar is the best Coronas Gordas in the whole market. Grassy and dark chocolate notes greatly balanced with medium tobacco taste. Before the 1970's this cigar size was reportedly 48x140.

Rafael Gonzalez Marquez cigars represent a success story from the roaring 20's. Dating from approximately 1928, this Cuban cigar brand was formally named La Flor de Marquez.
Rafael Gonzalez has it's trademark registration in 1936 by the Cuban cigar Sociedad El Rey del Mundo. Rafael Gonzalez Trademark records show that the current name dates from 1945.
These Cuban cigars are considered medium in body and tobacco is used from the Vuelta Abajo region in Cuba. The Rafael Gonzales cigar brand is also reputed to have introduced the Lonsdale cigar size, named in honour of Hugh Cecil Lowther, the Fifth Earl of Lonsdale.
Rafael Gonzalez cigars are a Habanos local cigar brand with a minor market share.
