"Cigars are no longer just for the seasoned smoker.      They have become a staple in society for rookies and veterans alike,        representing an air of character, class and pleasure. Whether it's a          satisfying smoke after dinner, during a round of golf, or out at the          bar for drinks, cigars are the perfect complement to your lifestyle        because that is exactly what defines cigar smoking:      -- your lifestyle. Welcome to the good life!"
TOP CUBAN CIGARS CIGARS 1992-2002

These Top Cuban Cigars are taken from the Cigar Aficionado magazine, which created the top Cuban cigar list of all cigars they had tasted blind since 1992. These are the top-scoring Cuban cigars in the history of the magazine between 1992-2002. From quality construction to delicious, complex flavors, these are truly the best of the best amongst the Cuban cigars.

99    HOYO DE MONTERREY DOBLE CORONA

Rated 94 or higher four times, it's easy to understand why the Hoyo Double Corona is the quintessential Cuban cigar -- and why it's listed as one of the Star Cigars of Cuba. And the Hoyo de Monterrey brand is no one-hit wonder. Eight Hoyos have rated 90 points or higher over the years, including the Churchill, Epicure No. 1 and No. 2, and Le Hoyo Du Roi.

96    COHIBA ROBUSTO CIGARS

Another Star Cigar of Cuba, this is arguably the most recognized Cuban cigar brand worldwide. The Cohiba Robusto has been rated 90 points or higher seven times, and is joined by the Esplendido, rated 90 or higher four times, and the Siglo IV, which earned 90 points in the Autumn 1996 issue.

96    FLOR DE CAÑA SHORT CHURCHILL

Created in Havana in 1932, La Flor de Cano is a lesser known Cuban brand, but one that holds its own in terms of flavor. In the first issue of Cigar Aficionado, the Short Churchill scored 96, and followed with a 93 in the Winter 1994/95 issue.

96    HOYO DE MONTERREY DOBLE CORONAS CIGARS
96    PUNCH DOBLE CORONAS CIGARS

Punch has consistently scored in the 90s during the last 10 years. Both the Double Corona and the Churchill scored in the 90s three times each, while the Punch Corona, Diademas Extra, Royal Selection No. 11 and the Punch Punch -- a Cigar Star of Cuba -- also scored 90 points or higher.

96    ROMEO Y JULIETA FAMULOSOS CIGARS

Cuban Romeo y Julietas have scored 90 points or higher 22 times since 1992 -- the most of any cigar brand, Cuban or non-Cuban. Both the "A" sized Fabuloso and the Churchill scored in the Top 10 for Cubans, while the Exhibición No. 3 and No. 4 each scored 90 or higher on three occasions.

95    BOLIVAR ROYAL CORONAS CIGARS

95    MONTECRISTO NO.2 CIGARS

Second only to Hoyo de Monterrey, four Montecristo cigars rated in our Top 10. The Montecristo No. 2, perhaps Cuba's best-known cigar, scored in the 90s a remarkable seven times, most recently in June 2002 when it received a rating of 92.

95    MONTECRISTO A CIGARS

The Montecristo A cigar is a great Classic of the Cuban Gran Corona size range and the most attractive for smokers of the large formats. Montecristo A is the Habano of great events. Within the brand, it is not the strongest cigar, although it is the most redeemed one. Its length demands a wrapper of great quality, which makes its presentation something very special and with great impact.

94    COHIBA ROBUTOS CIGARS

The Cohiba Robusto vitola has made Robustos one of the most desired Habanos on the market. This one is a real piece of art not to be confused with a simple thick cigar, one of the problems when it comes to define Robustos. There are only nine authentic Robustos and this one is the most complex, because of its cigar strength and excellent joint.

94    HOYO DE MONTERREY DOBLE CORONAS

The Hoyo de Monterrey Doble Corona is one of the best prominente cigars ever made. Like many of Hoyo de Monterrey formats, they are pretty strong, with convincing aroma, taste and greasy. These Hoyo Double Coronas used to exist in P3 and Cajon100 packaging as well.

94    HOYO DE MONTERREY EPICURES NO.2 CIGARS

The Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure No.2 are completely hand-made with tobacco leaves coming from Vuelta Abajo. This Cuban Robusto cigar, with excellent burn, is the last product from Hoyo de Monterrey. With a smooth strength, it has an intense Cuban tobacco taste, blended with cocoa, cinnamon and dried fruits. Before 2005 these Hoyo Epicures #2's didn't have cigar bands.

94    MONTECRISTO MILLENIUM RESERVE ROBUSTO

The Montecristo Millennium Reserve Jar presents 25 Robusto cigars. These robustos are new Special Release size for the Montecristo Brand. They also come in the 1999 Siglo XXI.
