The Bolivar Belicosos Finos could be mistaken with a Piramide, but this Habano from Bolivar is a Campana, a tapered cigar that has the same gauge, although it is somewhat shorter. This is smoother than the Montecristo No. 2 and the Upmann No.2, two Piramides, since the difference in cigar length of 16 mm (2/3 of a inch) gives them more potency. These Bolivar Belicosos Finos have very good draw and excellent combustion, being the strongest of the Bolivar cigars.
Cohiba Genios is one of the Maduro 5 cigars, a proposal for 2007. The Cuban Maduro Wrapper to be used in this new line of Cohiba cigars is five years aged. This cigar is beautifully constructed with a gorgeous dark Maduro wrapper and great sweet Cohiba flavors.
The Partagás Lusitanias cigar used to be a handmade ring 50 x 184mm vitola. They also existed in packs of 3 cigars as well. The Lusitanias could be called king of their Habano brand. Partagas Lusitanias is a Cuban cigar which many smokers catalogue as the best cigar they have ever smoked or that was ever made. Changes have been made since this stick first came out, becoming milder with earthy and peppery flavours.
The Ramon Allones Gigantes cigars have floral, nutty and herbal flavours greatly balanced. As it is considered to be quite mild for a full bodied Cuban cigar, it can be perfect for a novice, which is not usual for a "Prominente". Perfect draw and even burn. Until 1976 this Cuban cigar was a handmade "109" 50x184 vitola.
The Trinidad Robustos Extra cigars are the biggest cigar of the 3 new Trinidad formats. This is considered as a star cigar. Much like the Fundadores, they impress with their elegance and finesse rather than pure power. This is a Cuban cigar for someone looking for flavor and complexity.
The Montecristo No.2 cigar is the king of the pointed cigars. This Habano is something else. Those who prefer the Montecristo cigar brand will find in the #2 all the virtues of Montecristo cigars and those who do not know it, will discover all the strenght of the world's best sold Habano brand.
The Partagás 8-9-8 Barnizados cigar are favorites for many Cuban cigar lovers. They get their name from their presentation in a box of 25 cigars, divided into tree layers of 8, 9 and 8 cigars. It is one of the older current vitola range, a strong, well balanced Partagas cigar with rich aroma and flavor, and ideal measures for the smoker who can spare the time.
The Partagás Serie D No.4 cigar used to be originally available from the 1930's until the mid 1960's and was then discontinued till 1975 They also existed in packs of 3 cigars as well. The Serie D No.4 is the last surprise coming from Partagas. A Robusto cigar figuring among the best in this format.
The Ramon Allones Specially Selected cigar is a very good Robusto cigar, as good as those of the old times, maybe because we can still appreciate the perfectly balanced flavours of nuts, honey sweetness or herbal flavours. The minimum ageing recommended for this Cuban cigar is at least three years. Strength 3/5. They used to exist in SLB25 packaging as well.
The Montecristo No.1 cigar is the point of reference amongst the Habano cigars for this size. This Montecristo #1 is strong, even somewhat harsh, compared with other Cuban cigars that try to please more delicate tastes. It is a Habano that does not allow any other reference but itself.
